Terms of Service

Welcome to Cipheus! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Cipheus mobile application ("App") and related services. By using Cipheus, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Cipheus, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Cipheus. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Account Registration

To use Cipheus, you must create an account using Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Cipheus to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Send spam, unsolicited messages, or malware
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
• Share content that is illegal, harmful, or offensive
• Attempt to access other users' accounts without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code

5. Content and Language Packs

You retain ownership of any content you create, including:

• Messages you send
• Co-created language packs
• Profile information

By creating co-created language packs, you grant the co-creator a license to use that language pack. Preset language packs remain the property of Cipheus.

6. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

7. Intellectual Property

Cipheus and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App
• Use our trademarks without permission
• Create derivative works based on the App

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may also delete your account at any time through the App settings.

9. Disclaimers

Cipheus is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

• The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Messages will be delivered immediately
• The App will meet all your expectations

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cipheus shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the App.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of Cipheus after changes indicates your acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
